Vollmer Limited has been in business in Pforzheim, Germany since 1922. Originally a watch case and bracelet manufacturer, Hansjorg Vollmer (the current president) became interested in watches of the Luftwaffe. They started producing traditional Pilot's watches, using titanium. Their production models and designs have grown tremendously since then. Several designs using dials used in WWII were revived and new case designs using screw-down crowns are currently being offered. Also, many of the Vollmer watches utilize see-through case backs in stainless steel featuring the ETA 2824 mechanical, automatic movements.
