New for 2012, the new Laco automatic Observer pictured above features a case that shares the dark gray finish of the originals. It is a 42 mm stainless steel case, has a Swiss 2824 ETA automatic movement, and is 5ATM water resistant. It also comes with a two year warranty.

The watch has been upgraded with a modern, ultra-hard domed sapphire crystal that emulates the old bubble style hesalite crystals used originally and the hands are actually blued in a thermal process as in the old days. Also, the hands, numerals and markers are coated with highly luminous material for better night vision.

This new collection of pilot watches pay homage to the original as never before. The case offers historically accurate case markings on the side & on the solid steel case back. You will also note that the watches don't show the date or carry a logo on the dial, and are equipped with period correct blued hands.
